SUBSTITUTE INFANT TODDLER EDUCATORS (ITE)/AID:

YFEHS is in immediate need of substitutes to cover for our Infant Toddler Educators (ITE)/Aid when needed.

Job Responsibilities include: caring, educating and nurturing infants and toddlers, including those with disabilities, in a safe and stable environment, and working with and supporting parents as they work toward their educational and career goals, and developing their parenting skills. Fills in for the ITE’s during breaks, lunches, and short absences, as well as collect, fold and return laundry for entire center to ensure each child room is ready for daily routines that require clean laundry. Must have time management skills to complete tasks in a timely manor.

Qualifications/Requirements: Previous experience working with infant/toddlers preferred.  Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification.

Positions are part time as needed.

 

MULTIPLE OPENINGS FOR INFANT TODDLER EDUCATORS:

Young Families Early Head Start, Inc. (YFEHS) has an immediate opening for an Infant Toddler Educator.

Job Responsibilities include: Caring, educating and nurturing infants and toddlers, including those with disabilities, in a safe and stable environment, and working with and supporting parents as they work toward their educational and career goals, and developing their parenting skills.

Qualifications: 6 months previous experience working with infant/toddlers, prefer a 4 year degree (B.S., B.A.), or advanced degree in early childhood or related field, but will accept Child Development Associate (CDA) or Associates Degree (AA) appropriate for birth to age three.

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible for primary child care provider status according to state child care licensing requirements.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be enrolled and working toward completion of the 60 hour coursework requirement for the Montana Infant Toddler Group Care & Development Certification within one year of hire.
  • Must successfully complete STARS training as required to maintain YFEHS’s STARS rating.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must be insurable by the Young Families vehicle insurance carrier.
  • Must possess a valid MT driver’s license and automobile liability coverage.

Positions are full time (37.5 hours per week), health insurance including dental, 401k, vacation, holiday and sick leave pay.
